Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Dinkeroo Software Development Services, a sole proprietorship registered in the Philippines with the Department of Trade and Industry ("dinkeroo", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the dinkeroo mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Your account

  • Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your password secure and tell us promptly at hello@dinkeroo.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • One account per person. Do not create an account for anyone else or use another person's account.

3. What the Service does

dinkeroo helps you find balanced pickleball doubles play. It lets club admins propose open-play sessions at partner venues, lets players join those sessions, automatically pairs players into teams, records match scores after both sides confirm them, and maintains a skill rating and tier for each player.

Your dinkeroo rating is an in-app number tuned for fair same-day pairing. It is not a DUPR rating and is not an official or portable rating of any kind.

The Service depends on venues, club admins, and other players. We do not guarantee that sessions will be available in your area, that a session will run as planned, or that a venue will approve any particular booking.

4. Bookings and attendance

  • When you join a session you are expected to show up. If you cannot make it, cancel in the app as early as possible so your spot can go to someone on the waitlist.
  • Repeated no-shows and last-minute cancellations affect your booking reliability score, which club admins can see and which may affect your ability to join future sessions.
  • Waitlisted spots are filled in order when space opens. A waitlisted spot is not confirmed until the app says so.
  • Club admins manage their own rosters and may set skill-gap limits or other rules for their sessions.

5. Payments

Some sessions have a fee set by the club admin or venue. dinkeroo does not process or hold payments. The app only records the amount owed and whether the organizer has marked it as paid. You pay the club admin or venue directly, outside the app (for example, by GCash or cash).

Any dispute about a fee, a refund, or a payment is between you and the club admin or venue. dinkeroo is not a party to it and is not responsible for resolving it. We may introduce dinkeroo-handled payments in the future; if we do, we will publish additional terms for that first.

6. Ratings and competitive integrity

The rating system only works if results are honest. You agree not to:

  • deliberately lose, manipulate scores, or arrange match outcomes ("sandbagging", score-fixing, or collusion);
  • submit or confirm scores for matches that were not actually played as recorded;
  • use more than one account to influence ratings, matchmaking, or leaderboards;
  • interfere with the matchmaking or scoring system.

Match scores become rating-affecting only after both sides confirm them, or after a neutral scorekeeper records them. The rating history log is our authoritative record of rating changes.

Platform admins may investigate suspected manipulation and may correct ratings, void or adjust match results, reset a rating, or restrict, suspend, or deactivate an account. Where a result depends on judgment, the platform admin's decision is final.

7. Your content

"Your content" means anything you post, including your profile photo, Game Cards, Stories, captions, and scores you submit.

  • You keep ownership of your content.
  • You grant dinkeroo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content within the Service as needed to operate it — for example, showing your Game Card to your connections.
  • You are responsible for your content. Do not post anything that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, is misleading, or violates Section 8.
  • We may remove content that breaks these Terms or that we are required to remove.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • post spam, or use the Service to advertise without our permission;
  • upload malware, attempt to breach security, scrape the Service, or access data you are not authorized to access;
  • use the Service for anything illegal or to facilitate anything illegal;
  • use the Service in a way that disrupts it for others.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report or block another user directly in the app, and we review reports and act on them, up to and including removing content and suspending or deactivating the account responsible (Section 9). 9. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using the Service at any time and can request account deletion, which we handle as described in the Privacy Policy (Section 5).
  • We may suspend or deactivate your account, or restrict your access, if you break these Terms, if your conduct harms other users or the integrity of the Service, or if we are required to by law. Where practical and appropriate, we will tell you why.
  • A deactivated account is hidden and cannot be used to book or play, but its record is retained. A deleted account is anonymized as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 14 — continue to apply.

10. Service provided "as is"

The Service is in an early access / pilot phase. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by Philippine law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that ratings or matchmaking will be accurate for every situation, or that any defect will be fixed. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, or the whole Service, at any time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Philippine law:

  • dinkeroo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
  • dinkeroo is not liable for the acts or omissions of venues, club admins, or other players, including anything relating to a physical session, a court, an injury, or a payment dispute.
  • dinkeroo's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid dinkeroo for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free Service is zero.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold dinkeroo harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent the claim results from dinkeroo's own wrongful act.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you through the app or by email before it takes effect, and — where the change meaningfully affects your rights — we may ask you to accept the updated Terms before you continue using the Service. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and dinkeroo agree to try to resolve any dispute informally first by contacting hello@dinkeroo.app. If that fails, the dispute will be brought exclusively before the proper courts of the City of Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines.

15. General

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and dinkeroo about the Service.
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor operator of the Service.
